Heartland Acres along with Dan Wardell from IPTV, Buchanan County Extension and Outreach, Buchanan County Historical Society, Buchanan County Public Libraries, Buchanan County Conservation, 4-H, and Master Gardeners will celebrate spring with “Spring in the Heartland” Saturday, April 7 from 10AM to Noon. See baby animals, new exhibits, and try some hands on activities.
To welcome spring and see a preview of new displays at Heartland Acres there will be an open house on Saturday, April 7 from 10AM to noon.
Activities for kids include milking a cow, shelling corn, and a planting project and other activities.
As part of the morning events in the museum, children will also be treated to listening to Dan Wardell from Iowa Public Television read some of their favorite books. Known as “Story Time”, Dan will read from 10:30AM to 11:00AM. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
