Agribusiness Association of Iowa visits Heartland Acres for a focus group discussion on agriculture issues and initiatives.
Agribusiness Association of Iowa held an area meeting at Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, Iowa to discuss present day agricultural issues and initiatives as well as future needs and obstacles facing our agricultural community. Meeting organizer, Reilly Vaughan, brought in Agribusiness Association of Iowa CEO, Joel Brinkmeyer, for the discussion.
Topics for the association are varied and rely on input of members from around the state. Joel Brinkmeyer served for 20 years as Executive Vice President of the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Agribusiness, Great Western Bank, in West Des Moines. Brinkmeyer commented on the importance of identifying market driven solutions for Iowa agricultural and relaying those solutions to government leaders.
