Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey visited Heartland Acres Agribition Center July 29, 2011. The Secretary of Agriculture was visiting Northeast Iowa and made time to stop in for a tour of the Heartland Acres Campus.
The tour of the agriculture based museum included discussions with Secretary Northey about the importance of agriculture to the world and also the importance of preserving our agricultural heritage.
“Heartland Acres continues to promote Iowa agricultural history and we are pleased to show off our campus to the Secretary of Agriculture. Getting the word out about our agricultural heritage and the future of agriculture is our primary mission”, stated Craig Johnson, Executive Director.
