Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, IA will be hosting the Plant Genomics exhibit from April 21, 2015 through June 18, 2015.
Plant Genomics examines Earth’s most Crucial living Creatures – plants – and investigates the important contributions genomics researchers are making to agriculture, human health, and the environment. Visitors discover interactive games, groundbreaking research, and learning opportunities.
Plant Genomics includes several stations. Each one focuses on a particular concept and incorporates interactive elements:
O2: Explore how plants create the oxygen and nutrients all other life depends on, and see why it is a good thing we can find plants almost everywhere on the planet. Discover how genomics research can help us solve the environmental puzzles we face.
The DNA Diner: Place your genetic order and learn how proteins are made.
Assemble the Puzzle: Put together the research puzzle by learning more about important fields of study.
